Credit where it's due for keeping Sunderland and now Palace up, but good riddance to the fat, self opinionated thieving mug.

Re: Big Sam gone
He'll be back next season, no doubt - the first team that gets seriously nervous about going down will be straight on the phone to Dubai to get Keys or Gray to hand the phone over to him.

Re: Big Sam gone
Also, I have never known ex-players to openly admit their hate. I was at the team hotel when Hull went 1-0 down to them before the Liverpool game. A lot of our players were gutted because of the manager of the opposition. I wont name names as they are current.

Piquionne & Illunga are 2 ex-players that HATE him.

Re: Big Sam gone
I really enjoyed informing him of his stats then sticking my middle finger up right in his face after he was lost for words for the first time ever after our 3-0 win this season.

I am also relieved that he will now never beat us.

If he really has retired to spend more time with his family I give his marriage a month, tops.

Re: Big Sam gone
Fair play to him, as much as i didnt like his football philosphy, he did the job he was asked by the 2bobs and lets face it, its quite hard to work for the 2bobs in itself.

Didn't like him or his brand of football, but very grateful for what he did for us

>>> ...added to all the wedge he's earn't over the years he's now a seriously wealthy man...

Of course we now know how he did it thanks to the sting - by owning the agent that he got his clubs to use for signings and taking his cut of their payments. Appalling unethical behaviour, a spit in the face of every supporter he duped, but I see a few are still lining up to praise him 'what he did for us'.

Re: Big Sam gone
Could definitely imagine BFS enjoying retirement. Can imagine him sitting around in the sunshine in Spain eating and drinking all day, watching SKY, telling a few stories to anyone that cares to listen.

Yep Fair Play to Sam, wasn't me cup of tea as a manager, but did what he had to do and got us promoted and stablised the club, which I am thankful for.

Enjoy the retirement.

Alan BRAZIL just said OAF lost a close friend in the Manchester attack and that triggered his decision.

Re: Big Sam gone
A good career move for BFS. Gets a holiday until Christmas time when a club in trouble offers him several millions £'s to come out of retirement to keep them up with more £millions bonus for achieving it....

Re: Big Sam gone
Dont blame him for having had enough of being the RELEGATION BLOKE and getting out while his luck holds.
Of course he will be the first name mentioned once someone is in trouble in December.

Can see him pitching up as a consultant to Chinese clubs trying to get hold of players from England.

Re: Big Sam gone
Enjoy your retirement fatty.

Have no hatred towards him. Done what he was employed for and left at the right time.

He probably knows his heart can't take too much more.
